About the Presenter:Top of page

Dr. Beatriz Grinsztejn is an infectious disease physician and researcher with over 30 years of dedication to HIV prevention and care. She is the Director of the FIOCRUZ STI/AIDS Prevention and Therapeutic Clinical Trials Unit, where she leads research focused on advancing the prevention, treatment, and care of HIV, STIs, and emerging infections. Under her leadership, the CTU is affiliated with major international networks, including HPTN and ACTG. Dr. Grinsztejn currently serves as Co-Chair of the HPTN 083 Study and Chair of the ImPrEP CAB-LA Implementation Study, which aimed to evaluate the use of CAB-LA among 1,200 MSM and other sexual and gender minorities in Brazil. Dr. Grinsztejn is the current President-elect of the International AIDS Society (IAS). With a strong foundation in public health and a commitment to social justice, her work focuses on addressing health disparities and improving outcomes for populations at higher vulnerability, including men who have sex with men and transgender individuals.

2. Understand the newest scientific discoveries from clinical trials and their implications for real-world HIV prevention.

4. Assess how recent findings can enhance prevention programs in diverse settings and address ongoing gaps in HIV prevention efforts.

This CME activity has approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for December 17, 2024, as a live activity. This activity will also be available as an enduring activity from December 24, 2024, through December 16, 2027.

The target audience is all physicians, NPs and PAs involved in or interested in HIV education.
