About the Presenter:Top of page

Preeti Pathela is the Executive Director of the STI Program in the Bureau of Hepatitis, HIV, and STI at the NYC DOHMH, with overall responsibility for directing, evaluating, and coordinating STI program implementation, surveillance and field operations, and epidemiology, research, and evaluation. She has 18 years of experience in STI/HIV prevention and control, serving previously as Director of STI Research and Evaluation at the NYC Health Department, where she oversaw a unit comprising analysts who examined data on STI/HIV patterns among the program’s sexual health clinic population, as well as at the citywide level, to generate and answer research questions around STD/HIV risk, prevention, and service delivery. She serves on the American STD Association’s Board of Directors and as an Associate Editor of Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Preeti received a DrPH degree in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and her MPH from Emory University.

This CME activity has approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for May 10th, 2023 as a live activity.  This activity will also be available as an enduring activity from May 17th, 2023, through May 9th, 2026.

The target audience is all physicians, NPs and PAs involved or interested in HIV education.

This online video and post-activity evaluation are one hour in length.
